This is just an overview of my accomplishments and abilities. Here you will find a cross section of designs that I have done over the years. The resume link to the left will lead to a more complete breakdown of my work.

As you can see I have worked in several different theatre spaces, including three-quarter thrust, proscenium, and in-the-round black box theatres. I have also had experience in designing for school touring shows that had to fit into a van and be unloaded and set up in a matter of minutes. I have enjoyed creating an environment out of just a few simple pieces or going all out with a complete transformation of the space.

I always feel that a set design should reflect the needs of the show. I have seen many beautiful set designs and then wondered, “What did that have to do with the show?” In my opinion, the set design should support the action, create an environment, and utilize the ‘Keep it Simple, Stupid’ method. Then, after all that, it should be given an aesthetic beauty.
